WWE Brand Extension: Some of the Keys for Moving Forward instead of Moving Backward
WWE had decided to yet again splitting their two major show Raw and Smackdown as WWE giving their broadcast license to USA Network for both Raw and Smackdown. This broadcast license especially for Smackdown gives the major impact for the 'B' show of WWE. Smackdown now is having a promising future at least its rating will rise up.
WWE capitalize that moment, now WWE want the extend their show into equal position for both Raw and Smackdown. But, is this the best decision for the company ? is this a backward movement or forward movement for the company ?
When we are looking again to the past, this Brand extension had been occurred in past decade ago. Both Raw and Smackdown 'compete' against each other with their major superstars. Smackdown were known for producing some of the future superstars such as John Cena, Rey Mysterio, and Brock Lesnar with the icon for its brand 'The Undertaker'. Raw at that time are known as the star doom of the major WWE Superstars such as Triple H, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Rick Flair and many more.

There were some failure when WWE very first brand extension took place. RAW were still the 'A' show in WWE and Smackdown were still 'B' show in WWE. They were failed to make both brand 'compete' against each other and WWE seems failed to grow their audience. For the coulpe of years WWE were finally united the rosters and made RAW as the major show, all of the superstars could compete in both RAW and Smackdown. The problem at that time was; WWE always attempted to move every rising stars on Smackdown and moving them to Raw, meanwhile Smackdown were just ocassionally got some of the legit superstars into their brand. From the storylines, Smackdown were just ocassionally got some of the good storylines and feuds, but most of them were backfired. On the other hands, Raw were always got some of the compelling storylines and feuds such as the feud between Rock and Austin,  The Evolution against all, Batista v Triple H, or Triple H v Shawn Michaels. Finally the very first Brand Extention was failed once and for all.

Fast forward we go to 2016, we are once again facing another brand extension between Raw and Smackdown. so, to make sure the second coming of brand extension succeed, WWE should give the same opportunity for both brand either Raw and Smackdown to shine, They should get the equal screen time on USA Network, Same quality of Superstars either The past, the present or the future superstars, same quality of storylines and feuds. One thing I want to suggest for WWE, there should be another major brand championships, such as WWE title for Smackdown and WHC for Raw in 2002-2003. But now, WHC had been perished and united with WWE title. The key to make it happens again, WWE should create WWE 'Smackdown' Championship and WWE 'RAW' Championship. It is also needed in Women's division. It would make legit equality between these two brands. and the both of the title will not get too dominance against another. It is worth to be tried.
